THE PRINCIPLE OF PADDLE BLADE ROTATION

The Maui Blade works on the simple principle of rotation. The Paddle Blade is capable of rotating into place when you want the paddle blade for kayak paddling, or rotating away from the handle for when you want the paddle blade out of the way for standing paddling. A simple push button releases the blade.

The Paddle Blade locks in one of two positions, SUP or Kayak. 

Pushing the lock pin releases the blade from the position it is in, if the pin is continually depressed the blade is free to rotate a full 360 degrees.

The paddle is thus able to change between kayak and SUP paddling with a simple push of the button and flick of the wrist. The precision machined internals and bearings glide the blade smoothly, locking it securely in place with the most subtle initiation.

Since the paddler can access both kayak and SUP stroke with one paddle without the need stop paddling and manually reconfigure the paddle, the ability to fluidly blend standing and kneeling and sitting can be achieved.
